Altova SchemaAgent allows you to visualize and manage relationships between multiple WSDL documents and between WSDL files and XML Schemas.

SchemaAgent® 2008 represents WSDL documents and other files as graphical components in its design pane, allowing you to immediately visualize and understand your XML information architecture. SchemaAgent also allows you to create and change import and include relationships between files using drag-and-drop functionality. This makes it easy to reuse existing file components to reduce errors and maximize developer productivity.

When you drag a WSDL file from the SchemaAgent explorer pane onto the design pane, SchemaAgent represents it as a graphical component, which can be moused-over or expanded to reveal details about imported WSDL and XML Schema files, inline schemas, namespaces, and definitions (Messages, PortTypes, Bindings, and Services) contained in the WSDL document.

A handy right-click menu allows you to insert any referenced, related, or linked files into your design as graphical components. Color-coded lines linking associated file components allow you to understand the relationships between files (referenced, imported, etc.). In addition to visualizing file details and relationships, you can use drag-and-drop functionality to import one WSDL document into another, or to import an XML Schema that defines the data types used in the WSDL document. When you drag a connecting line from one file to another, SchemaAgent highlights valid import choices.

Once you’ve made your selection, it automatically inserts the import code in the affected files and saves the changes to the file repository.

You can print the graphical view of your XML architecture at any time or save it as a SchemaAgent design file (.SAD) or as an image (.PNG) to document your file relationships and facilitate communication with other stakeholders.
